Understanding the changes you make will prevent you from making any mistakes again which might cause a connection issue. If you need to change your qBittorent settings for privacy reasons, make sure you fully understand exactly what you are changing and why you are doing so. If you are now connecting, then your issue has been solved! Your connection was most likely being hindered by something in your settings and not any larger underlying issues. Keep the default settings and see if you are now receiving a connection. This time don’t change any settings or follow a setup guide. Once your computer has restarted, then you’ll just need to reinstall qBittorent as you did before. Uninstalling will take only a few seconds, after which just click “Close” and restart your computer. On the next page, make sure to check all of the boxes to make sure you are removing all of the configuration files and data. The uninstaller will pop up, and you will need to click “Next” to continue. Double click on it and the removal process will begin. In this directory, you should see the program’s uninstall process.

There are several methods for uninstalling qBittorent from your PC, but the best option is to uninstall it using its own uninstall process. I don't use ktorrent BUT "stalled" usually means there is a problem with your internet connection - with regards to torrents.

You can just download a torrent, and when its done, double click it (the torrent file/download), and it will open in your torrent client and download. "just download this file, and when its done, BAM, got what ya want!". Years ago, when I first learned of torrents. I like transmissions for just downloading torrents, but deluge for creating/uploading them. I like to use transmission (installed by default) or deluge.
